Experience with the purchase and Sportman's Outdoor Superstore was very easy and without issues. Fulfillment takes a little longer than other retailers but you do not end up with surprises. The Taurus Judge PD Poly has been better than I anticipated. Exchanged the stock grip with a Pachmyr grip and I could not be happier with my purchase. Recoil is a non-issue, dependability and function are top notch. The only drawback for me personally is the design when emptying spent casings from the cylinder. If the cylinder isn't aligned just right then a casing will get stuck against the frame near the cylinder release. Not a huge problem to be honest. If more than 5 rounds are needed, it's not a weapon related issue.
So I legit got this monster to pocket carry. Right now I have 45 Colt hollows in it. That’ll work till I can find myself some good self defense 410. I’m 6’6”, and in the warmer months I normally carry a 38+P bodyguard. This is still a little to big to pocket carry in most shorts, but it fits perfectly fine in a pair of dickie shorts. I’ll update this when I hit the lottery and can finally put a few rounds down range.
This was the first time I had ordered from this company. I was a little hesitant because I had not previously dealt, nor heard of them before. Upon researching, I learned they had been around a long time. I must say I was extremely impressed with the staff. On my first call I got all kinds of info, where the customer rep actually called the warehouse for me to verify the actual finish on a handgun. There was issues on other websites, that with the same model number it included various finishes blued or black polymer on the cylinder. Someone went and looked in the box at another location to verify the finish. I called back the next day to place my order. I got Gayle (hope I spelled her name correctly). She was fantastic! I also order another weapon and she was very happy to do a price match.
Long story short, The service was exceptional! She called me back telling me when I would receive my order and to thank me for my business. That was way more personal than a tracking number by email. I got that as well by the way. That extra step, made me fill valued by their business. That still means something to a lot of us out here. The delivery was great and on time for both items. I couldn't be more pleased. I will definitely be shopping here the next time a need a firearm, etc. Loved the items purchased as well, including this item and a 20 ga. Mossberg Shockwave.
The best concealed carry revolver I own. It looks big but it is not. It is so light I don't even know I have it on me. The gun is perfect. My preferred load is the Hornady Critical Defense 410 shell. I have put over 300 rounds down range without a single problem. The service and great price I received from Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore is fantastic! I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for big caliber protection in a reliable revolver that's easy to carry.
