Packed with the latest technological advances and features required by today’s most demanding shooters, the Ruger® LCR® is the evolution of the revolver. The Ruger® LCR® is a lightweight, small-frame revolver with a uniquely smooth trigger and highly manageable recoil.
The high-strength stainless steel cylinder is extensively fluted (reducing weight) and features an Ionbond Diamondblack finish for excellent durability. The monolithic frame, which supports the cylinder and barrel, is made from aerospace grade, 7000 series aluminum.
This is a very nice, lightweight carry gun. Keep in mind with a gun this lightweight, even .38 special is quite a handful. So don't expect it to be a range gun, because it will wear your hand out. But it shoots well, feels good, and looks great. It is something I have carried and will carry. It will fit nicely in a pocket with a pocket holster.
This is a beautiful firearm that functions flawlessly - so far, at least. It has an extremely smooth double-action trigger. It is very lightweight. It shoots where you point it quite well.
Its only drawback is something that cannot be avoided in this design. Even without using +P ammunition, the recoil is significant. It is to be expected, because of the lightweight design.
But to those who are recoil-sensitive, this is not for you. I enjoy shooting it, but even so I can tire after enough rounds.
But it is not a range gun for fun. It is meant to be carried. Overall, I like it very much. The copper cylinder looks nice.
