I learned to shoot with a Smith & Wesson .32, so there is a bit of nostalgia for with the J-frame design. One thing is for sure, this pistol will not let you down when you need it most. In 40 years, I cannot recall a jam or misfire on any S&W weapon that Ive shot. The finish on this pistol is perfect, not one imperfection of any kind, and the action is smooth as silk.
I have shot close to 1200 rds of everything from mild target loads to +P self defense loads. I’ve spent lots of time shooting at 10yds and double action and the fruits of that practice is 5 rds into a printed target of a medium apple. The double action was very nice out of the box and combined with orange painted front sight and blacked out rear, target acquisition is natural. The key to being proficient with this model is to aim small-miss small. I do not feel undergunned when carrying this.
