Product Description

SUPERFORMANCE Varmint ammunition is filled with proprietary propellants that increase the velocity ratings 100 to 200 feet per second compared to other popular brands. Because there is no increase in pressure, regardless of the caliber, there is no increase in felt recoil but there IS an increase in efficiency and high speed performance. Plus, SUPERFORMANCE Varmint loads are versatile and will perform flawlessly in all rifles, including semi-autos.

This Varmint load features Hornady Non-Toxic Expanding (NTX) projectile. Designed around the hard-hitting performance of the famous Hornady V-Max bullet, the NTX is specifically designed for supremely accurate long-range shooting for customers who arent permitted to shoot lead bullets in their home states. NTX bullets from Hornady deliver the same accuracy and performance as their popular V-Max bullets. The lead-free core, made of proprietary metals, is formed through a unique compression process at Hornadys bullet lab.

(5 out of 5) Hornady NXT
by from Thornton, CO on

Just got finished sighting-in with the new 35 grain NXT SUPERFORMANCE! Wow—what a fun time! I fired three five-shot groups at 100 yrds out of my American Predator, 1-in-8 and 5x25mm Vortex Venom scope! Groups were .45”, .75”, and a flinch on the last round of the last group caused that one to be 1.25”. I ought to blame a bug biting me but that’s not true! lol Highly recommend this load for varmints and paper but at longer distances and the fps speed with the 35 grain bullet use a 1-in-8 twist! Put out a cantaloupe and watermelon out at 200 and 300 respectively, definitely seeded the area when I hit each ! Love Hornady! Recommend their ammo to one and all!
