The Ruger 10/22 Takedown combines all of the features and functionality of the 10/22 rifle, with the ability to easily separate the barrel/forend and action/buttstock for convenient storage and transportation.
Takedown is as simple as locking the bolt back and verifying that the rifle is unloading, pushing a recessed lever, twisting the subassemblies and pulling them apart.
The simple reassembly of the barrel and action yields a rock-solid return to zero for consistent, reliable performance. Packed in a rugged, ballistic nylon backpack-style bag (included), the Ruger 10/22 Takedown makes it easy to keep America’s favorite rimfire rifle by your side.

Nice shooting and easy to clean and pack away. Love the back pack style carry case. Plenty of room for mags and ammo and scope mounted to rifle. Very accurate shooting rifle with the right ammo.
You are not spending a lot money here to get your 10/22 takedown. However, that considered, if you arent already familiar with this rifle, its plain to see that you are investing in a rifle that is genius in its simplicity.
Although, everyone finds the trigger and the bolt lock\release a point of frustration, .. make the initial investment in a trigger job and bolt release and you are on your way to a very cool, reliable little rifle.
The takedown feature and hardware is tight as a drum. Nothing hack about it. The bag is better than what youd probably expect at this price point, and can easily serve a solid role in whatever destination you have for you and your rifle.
