Packed with versatile features, the Ruger SR22® with a Threaded Barrel is lightweight (only 17.5 ounces) and perfect for just about anything - plinking, target shooting and even small game hunting. It is easy to field strip, fun to shoot, and will run reliably with a wide variety of ammunition (not just high-velocity ammunition).
Firearm Features and Specs
The Ruger SR22 Threaded Barrel model has light double-action and crisp single-action trigger pulls. Its external hammer is designed with a rounded spur for easy cocking and single-action shooting. The SR22 features a polymer frame and two interchangeable (no tools required) rubberized grips with angled serrations, allowing shooters to select either a slim or wider palm swell option. The aerospace-grade aluminum slide has serrations on both front and rear for better grip and slide manipulation. The easy-to-use underside Picatinny rail features multiple cross slots for variable mounting of most popular accessories.
The 3-dot sight system has a fixed front sight and a rear sight that is adjustable for both windage and elevation. A reversible blade allows shooters to select two white dots or a solid black blade. Other SR22 features include a stainless steel replaceable barrel, an ambidextrous manual thumb safety/decocking lever, ambidextrous magazine release, plus a visual inspection port to determine the load status of the pistol. The SR22 includes two finger grip extension floorplates that can be added to the magazine for comfort and grip. Each SR22 is also shipped with two 10-round magazines.

Overall, I'm satisfied with the performance of the SR22, the size,the breakdown,the look, the feel and quality. My only disappointment in the firearm is that Ruger designed it with a flip up thumb safety, which I don't like, due all my larger caliber firearms are flip down. The safety feature was never mentioned in advertisement of the firearm, and to be honest, it wasn't even a thought to cross my mind. Shocked me!
I had to give the Firearm the highest ratings because every aspect of the firearm has been good. Its a solid firearm that functions as it was designed. With that said, my opinion of the firearm is still good, but I dislike that Ruger made the thumb safety an up position to fire and down position for safe. The safety is opposite of all my other pistols, including my other Ruger pistols. Why in the world did Ruger make that decision. It didn't mention that fact in advertising or description, nor did it mention the firearm is made with longer barrel, which I would have liked to have known. The Firearm does well on several different ammo. Some of the cheaper stuff caused failure to feeds, but that's expected.
This was my first purchase with Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore and I could not be happier. I purchased cans for my .22 and 9mm/45 acp only to discover that I could not put threaded barrels in any of them. I had to sell them all and just replaced them all from here. I LOVE the SR 22. It is accurate, small, and eats ANY ammo I have put in it thus far without issue. It is LOUD for a .22 so wear hearing protection. It breaks down easy for cleaning and nothing more to say than it’s a GREAT little gun! I was VERY impressed with Sportsman Outdoors Superstore. Their prices cant be beat, not that I could find. Shipping was fast. I just purchased my 9 and 45 from them as well. I have been telling my friends to purchase their guns here, great price.
Approaching several hundred rounds so far, mostly Win Super X, Remington Golden, and Federal Game Shok, and various other brands, and I couldn't be more satisfied. Reliable, accurate, hits varmints pretty hard, fits my average sized hands very nicely, it looks good, it comes with two easy-to-load magazines, easy to clean, fun to shoot, what else can I say? The shipping was fast enough, three or four days, and the Sportsmans Outdoor price point was hard to beat. Buy it now, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Heck NO! I ordered my firearm online, Paid for it by credit card with no fees! No handling Charge! No Nonsense! It shipped No fees! No handling charge! And again No nonsense! I received the firearm in Less than 5 days! The firearm was exactly as described but somehow the wrench and adaptor that came with the firearm was missing. I contacted Customer Service by email the same evening I picked up the firearm and noticed the parts missing and I was replied to before their business hours the next day at which the young lady resolved the issue on the spot. No fee! No handling charge! No nonsense!! They just earned my business and I actually cant wait to decide on another firearm to purchase from them. Thanks Sportsmans I can say your Custmer Service is Spot on! oh, and the firearm is awesome.
Fantastic gun! I already have suppresor in hand. I asked for a 2014 build date and They were very helpful in honoring my request! I got great service from Sportsmans Superstore and their pricing was exactly $327.00 nothing else no hidden fees NO SHIPPING charges NO CREDIT CARD FEES! Item was sent out FedEx and I had it in 3 days. I am a customer in waiting now for my next purchase. If only they had a Walther PPQ M1 Military Thanks to GD in customer service!!!
