by from O Fallon, Missouri on

Purchased an extra magazine for my M&P shield. Right out of the box it would not hold 7 rounds. Upon the 3rd attempt to use it the follower became stuck upon inserting 3 rounds into the magazine. I removed the rounds and continued with the mags that came with the gun. They ran fine. I read another person who purchased an additional mag is having problems as well. Maybe a bad batch of magazines. Not happy.

by from Las Vegas, Nev on

I bought 7 and 8 round magazines as extras for the range. On the 2nd use, the 7 round mag had problems feeding and the slide will not lock back. If you push up on it then it works. I will not push up on a mag to make it work. This is the only 1 out of 6 that does this. I have others that have hundreds of rounds thru them no problems. I just sent an email to Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore to see if they are willing to fix this. Will try to update later, but for now that mag sits in my closet unused and we will see about the money spent for it. It could just be a bad mag.
