The Ruger 10/22 Takedown combines all of the features and functionality of the 10/22 rifle, with the ability to easily separate the barrel/forend and action/buttstock for convenient storage and transportation.
Takedown is as simple as locking the bolt back and verifying that the rifle is unloading, pushing a recessed lever, twisting the subassemblies and pulling them apart.

I've had this rifle for about 3 years now and it hasn't given me any problems. I set it up for an Appleseed event and shot several hundred rounds with very few malfunctions. You wont ever get a 100% reliable 22LR, but this one is pretty close. We bought my wife a standard 10/22 about a year later and we can hardly empty a magazine without at least one FTE. So it may be luck of the draw, I think hers just needs a new extractor but I've been lazy and she doesn't shoot often. Also, the shipping was pretty quick, I believe I had to wait about a week from the day I placed the order to the day I picked it up. I have since bought 2 other firearms here actually waiting on one now which reminded me I should write a review. No issues and Sportsmans Outdoor Superstore was great about keeping me updated on each one so I knew exactly when it arrived to pick it up.
