Had the gun for a few weeks now was finally able to shoot it. Performed flawlessly the gun is truly a work of art! I would definitely spend the money again to get a performance center gun it’s worth the extra money the slide is unbelievably smooth and the scandium frame is amazingly light and the trigger is very nice. The only problem I have is that Smith & Wesson did not think it was necessary to put fiber optic or tritium sights on this model. A gun at this price range should have definitely had better sites. I already sent the slide out to have new sites installed.
Purchased a gun fro sportsman super store. The process was fantastic. My purchase was delivered to my FFL dealer very timely.. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. At first I was a little worried about purchasing from them based on reviews, but they were wrong. A great place to do business with, price was good, free shipping and no credit card fees.
I love this firearm, let me start with that - it is beautiful and very unique. One of the most good-looking 1911's I've seen. However, coming from a Performance Center, the hardware is not as perfect as I thought - it shoots good but not in a way I would expect. I have a low budget 1911 and I couldn't tell the difference in terms of comfortability and overall performance.
If this gun was at around $1k, it would've been the ideal price range. I found it a little overpriced for what it delivers. They should ship with at least 2 additional magazines. I also found it very hard to conceal, even though the handle is curved. Again, nice good looking gun, it's just not what I was fully expecting for the price, despite the amount of research I did before I bought it.
