(5 out of 5) Mark II FV
by from Chas, SC on

Absolutely thrilled with this purchase from SOSS. Best price anywhere and the rifle meets and exceeds all of my expectations. The bolt handle was a little scratched and the barrel needed some extra cleaning, but it is a gem. I have only put a few rounds through it and it is a tack driver. I can't wait to put some range time in with my new toy.

Thank you SOSS for a great price and fast shipping on exactly what I wanted. I just ordered a used LE G23. I'm super excited about the great deal on that too. Hope it is a great of a transaction as this was.

This is one of the very best buys in a 22 in the world, my opinion.

HOWEVER you must, clean the barrel real good, they just don't have the time at the factory.

Make sure both scope mounts on the receiver are tight and loktited. Make sure!

My stock was warped, probably from being removed from its fixture too soon, but that's just a guess, so be sure the sides are not rubbing on your free floating barrel.

I thought a 24 would be most likely to shoot about anything good, considering times.

OOH Buddy, does this puppy shoot!!! STRAIGHT. I lapped mine with 10 rounds of Winch copper clad, cleaning with a pull thru each shot. Then after 5 rounds of Rem Target, once, again 10 rounds, and that's all I have the patience for and more than I have given any other, but I guess I'm getting old. By the eight patch I could see it was much cleaner from original first pull. This is a Browning break in recommendation for their hammer forged chromed barrels.

Buy both the 16 and 24, just check screwed down scope on receiver mounts & clear stock warpage on free floating barrels. My Hats off to Savage, these are made in Canada, it says on side of gun.
