I know why they put 222 in the box. About 10% of them will fail to fire. Many have bullets that are actually loose in the shell and wobble around.
Not the quality you expect from Winchester. Multiple misfires and jams in my Ruger Mark IV....no issues with Federal or CCI. Bullets are loose from casing so often don't seat properly in an auto pistol. May function with a revolver or a single shot rifle, although I question how accurate they will be given most of the bullets are so loose in the casing.
The good: no issues shooting my Henry Golden Boy and single-shot Remington. The bad: terrible shooting with my Ruger 10/22 semi-auto. Gets jammed all the time now, ammo bends just like another said ,and it’s loose. Have to use a different brand in that gun. It’s weird because it shot fine when the box was new / full. Now at half box it started to jam every time.
