I got what I ordered. It arrived on time and in perfect condition. I saved a bunch of money and effort by using Sportsman's...and, I don't see any reason not to continue to use Sportsman's for my future purchases. Love you guys. Thanks, George...
Ordered late on Monday, picked it up the following Thursday at my local FFL. Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore was not only the best price around, but was very easy to deal with, and will definitely buy from them again. Now to the gun. Just amazing. Smooth doesn't even begin to describe how great it shoots. Recoil is very minimal considering it's a 45 with a 3.3 barrel. This is my first Springfield but it definitely wont be my last.
I substituted my XDS .45 for this gun, and I can honestly say it was a great decision. The main difference is a little more weight, but you are carrying double the rounds. Both concealed pretty good, so the switch was a no brainier. I use an Urban Carry holster, so both guns conceal almost the same, the only big difference is the weight, which for double the round capacity is something I can deal with. Absolutely love the gun, the recoil is similar to an XD 9mm. Will continue to purchase from SOS for ever, they have the best prices on everything, they ship for free, and shipment gets to my local FFL within 3-5 days.
I researched every 45cal subcompact available and found this to be the best option for me. The size, comfort and reputation could not be matched.
I was looking for this little 45 for a while but could not get my hands on one until I stumbled on to SOSS. They have the best prices I have seen! Fast shipping! I will order from them again.
I was ready for concealed carry so I researched for a top gun. Everything kept coming back to a Springfield sub-compact .45 XDS.
I really wanted more round capacity but I really liked this gun. Then news of the Mod.2 release came out and I waited. Well let me tell you it was worth it. Can't beat 9+1 in a subcompact .45, and with the 13+1 mag it feels like a full size .45 and it shoots like a dream. Sportmans Outdoor had the best price and it only took 2 days to get from them to my FFL dealer!! Smooth transaction.
I'm a .45 guy.
I have searched all over for a .45 I could conceal carry that shot well, had a decent capacity, and was small enough for a short stocky guy to CC with low printing.
I was never able to say that any compact/subcompact accomplished all 3 until now. Other guns would be small enough but not have the capacity. Some had the capacity but handled like crap. But the MOD 2.0 by Springfield in .45, Shoots great! Has a 9+1 standard capacity with an extension magazine, and conceals nicely on my short stocky frame.
The handling of the gun is beautiful! I was very worried the recoil of this short barrel/overall size would make for a rough shot but this was not the case. It handle I felt just as well as many full-size .45!
I'll admit the grip on the gun is a bit large, and you unfortunately don't have backstops/size variants with the MOD 2.0 to adjust but I feel the Grip Zone does a great job of countering the large grip.
