Great price and great firearm.
Gun new in excellent shape would recommend to other.
Great little gun out of the box, no problems what so ever. Just got back from the range, 200 rounds, ran perfect, accurate. If you're on the fence about buying one go ahead, Smith&Wesson hit a home run with this 45. I used free shipping and it was at my FFL in 3 days. I will definitely buy from them again. Thanks!
First off: great service on ordering the firearm. Ordered on Thursday and had it to my FFL on the following Tuesday using free shipping. The firearm is great, I’m very happy with my purchase so far. Still breaking it in, but I think it’s a keeper!
Have a few 45 cal handguns, I like this one the best ! Feels great in the hand and is accurate.
My standards for the perfect concealed carry handgun have always been set pretty high - the 1911A1 3.5 bbl .45ACP. Finally, S&W introduced the M&P Shield 45 with thumb safety. The only operational difference between the two is the side release method after reloading; minor difference IMHO. The really BIG difference is carry weight loaded. A whopping 12 ounces - three quarters of a pound. It's been my IWB carry for 9 months now and I couldn't be happier.
Smith & Wesson 45 cal. Shield review - DISAPPOINTED After receiving my Shield I noticed the mags were not assembled correctly. I know what the problem was a & how to correct but wanted to see what S&W would say. After talking to two reps with an arrogant attitude I was told to fix it myself or send it back. No apology, nothing except they were well aware of the quality control problems that S&W have had for quite some time. So I “fixed” the mags, then cleaned and lubricated before taking to the range. I ran 14 mags through with only two having no problems. I had three failure to eject with the spent casings caught between the slide and barrel. To make matters worse twelve mags kept having failure to feed problems. I dont mean just a few but with over a dozen this makes the Shield unusable for me. Note, this is not my first Shield, having sight problems with my 9mm and now this I will no longer buy S&W products. After purchasing many firearms over the years, my Rugers & XDs have never had an issue like this and the quality was far superior to S&W. Additionally I did not appreciate the attitude from the East coast employees.
Great gun but the magazine was not assembled correctly. Called S&W, explained the problem and was told to either ship it back or fix it myself. Really! Very poor quality control. This is not my fist Shield with a problem. My 9mm sights are way off. I like the products from S&W but they really need to work on quality control. The people putting these together need to realize its job security to make a quality product. Right now they don't give a crap and its obvious.
Upon arrival of my Shield 45 M&P, I wasted no time. Went straight to the range, shot about 200 rounds through it and oh my oh my oh... MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS this is one bad bad little Joker mocha. This is one great product by Smith & Wesson. I did not come across any issues while I was shooting this gun. I am SUPER SUPER satisfied and of course is my new concealed carry. I highly highly recommend the M&P 45 Shield.
One more thing; Sportsman's outdoor Superstore, you guys rock! Thank you for adding the 45 Shield to your line of products just awesome.
This was my first order from this seller and I already placed another order today... Very happy with this transaction... Smooth easy sale and pistol was at my local dealer in a couple days...
