Combining popular M&P characteristics with existing Bodyguard 380 features, the new M&P Bodyguard 380 Flat Dark Earth (FDE) offers consumers a uniquely engineered, lightweight self-defense pistol. Compact, sleek and ergonomic, the M&P Bodyguard pistol benefits from new fish scale serrations on the rear of the slide for ease of use and like other M&P pistols, ships complete with two magazines.
Chambered for .380 ACP, the lightweight sub-compact pistol features a high-strength polymer frame with a black, Maximum Corrosion Resistant (MCR®) coated stainless steel slide and barrel. The new M&P Bodyguard is standard with a 2 ¾ inch barrel, which contributes to an overall length of 5 ¼ inches and an unloaded weight of only 11.85 ounces. Additional standard features include a rapid second-strike capability, thumb safety, take-down lever and stainless steel drift adjustable sights.
Nice and compact. Looks good. I needed a longer clip for my pinky for a good fit and feel. The reason that I sold it already was the ridiculous trigger swing. Tried to make myself like it but no way. To buy an aftermarket trigger to shorten it up wasn't worth it.
I chose this to replace my Glock 43. The Bodyguard is very small in both thickness and length and even compared to a small gun like the Glock 43 it's tiny. I only tested accuracy at 15ft but I could get 1 inch groupings. Trigger pull isn't great but I was used to it after about 5 rounds. It's small so it can hurt to shoot after a while. I only shot 50 rounds and that was enough to know it was reliable no issues, accurate once I got the trigger pull figured out and I am really impressed with the small size. Recoil is quite civil. Considering buying a second one just because it was so cheap.
The trigger pull is horrendous. Longest I have ever felt on a handgun. Other than that it shot well. Good for cc if you can get over the length of the trigger pull.
