(2 out of 5) Release button defect
by from Reston, VA on

The release button gets stuck after 2 shots and took it to an armorer at SEG and tried to fix it but no dice. Cleaned and cycled slugs and 00 same problem always jams.

by from Waller, TX on

930 Tactical, new in the box. Cannot load 7 shells in mag with 2-shot extension, 6 max. Follower hangs up on round #5 where the mag and extension thread together. After troubleshooting I believe the magazine spring is too long, may be for a 3-shot extension. Where the extension and mag thread together the transition is not perfect and the follower still hangs up slightly. Icing on the cake: when I received the gun I could only load 3. Removed the extension and found the threads damaged causing the follower to hang up. After two weeks of headaches with Mossberg, they sent me a new one. Going to sell it and buy a well-made gun.

Awesome shotgun. Had some similar issues, as others, with the safety but I took the switch off and put it back on and it works fine now. Put about 500 rounds through it, slugs and buck shot from #4 to 000 2 3/4 - 3 inch. No malfunctions yet.

(4 out of 5) Faulty Safety Switch
by from Spirit Lake, ID on

The safety switch does not function properly. Extremely hard to push the safety on and off, and the screw that holds it on is made not to be removed. I need to take it off to see why it is sticking and what is causing it to not slide on and off easy. I'm using a screw driver to push the safety switch on and off, not very convenient when you need to shoot quickly.
