The Sig Sauer P320 X-Five 9mm is the full-size variant in Sig's brand new P320 X-Series. The X-Five incorporates multiple features to maximize accuracy, shootability and ergonomics while maintaining the modularity of the standard P320 platform. Those features include:
If you want an out of the box competition gun for USPSA like matches, cant beat the the X-5. It has 4X21 round mags, good sights, good trigger, good grip, overall a solid performer without any extras done to it. I have used it twice at the Tactical Games, Crossfit meets 2 Gun. It was my back up gun the first time. The second time it didnt make it through the first battle. The elevation screw popped out at the last string so needless to say shot very poorly. It popped out the week before at the range so I added blue loctite to help retain it. It apparently did not hold. Sig has a good warranty service so currently sent the slide back for them to look and add the screw. Also they are sending me some extra screws. Conclusion. Great gun for short matches. Not sure its ready for the Tactical Games.
Great running pistol and there is a lot of heft to the x-five. Only issue was the front sight did not allow for enough adjustment. This was a quick fix to get back on target.
I ordered and received within a week. Great price, excellent shipping to my local FFL. This is a large handgun but well-balanced. A few early trips to the range were frustrating. The gun would not consistently return to battery. It took a nudge on the rear of the slide to push it the last few millimeters. I tried it with factory ammo and reloads. Anyway, I added a ROMEO1 red dot and shot it for zero. Then I used the Sig 320 X-Five in an all-day tactics training course. I had one failure to return to battery early in the day, and then it ran flawlessly for the next 500+ rounds with a mix of reloads of various projectile weights and powder charges. I shot it out to 50 yards and it hit where I aimed always a good thing!. This is an excellent full-sized pistol with a heavy barrel, skeletonized striker assembly, and other high-end details. I prefer the grip style of the X-Five to the Army issue version 320.
I’m a 1911 guy, but I own a “few” stryker fire pistols. Of the five Sig Sauer P320 models I have in various calibers and barrel lengths, the P320 X-Five is my favorite. Good feel, balance, accuracy, and maybe most important for a 1911 aficionado, a non-mushy, clean breaking trigger for a stryker fire, that doesn’t have a long travel or reset.
This is a very accurate handgun. Great for competition like USPSA, etc. Sig keeps improving whenever they release a new line. My only issue, and the reason I gave it 4 stars, is because the only optic you can mount on it is a ROMEO1 by Sig. Whereas, other manufacturers give you several plates for many manufacturer options in the market. Come on Sig, you can do better than that.

After seeing their SIG SAUER sale on Nov. 29 & 30 I couldn't resist placing an order. It's a gun I've wanted for quite awhile but just never saw a compelling deal ........... until their sale. I picked it up yesterday. Great gun. I like the fact that everything I would typically do gto a competition gun has already been done ....... trigger , sights, mags, and mag well are already perfect. Too bad more holster companies don't make them for this gun.
A really nice pistol...shoots well and feels very good in my hands. Only thing I changed was the front sight; went with a Sig #8 T/FO.
