At just two tenths of an inch wider than the industry’s slimmest single stack polymer frame pistols, the Mod.2® offers 13+1 rounds of .45ACP. The noticeably slim profile and other features combine to make the Mod.2® Service Model a pistol that offers excellent ergonomics and serious firepower in a surprisingly concealable full sized handgun.
Like all XD®s, the Mod.2® Service Model is loaded with safety features. The striker status indicator, loaded chamber indicator, grip-safety, internal firing pin block, and the Ultra Safety Assurance (USA) Action Trigger System™ all work to make the XD® Mod. 2® Service Model a safe and easy to use pistol.
And of course, GripZone® ergonomics set the XD® Mod.2® apart from all others. Optimized contact between the human hand and the frame of the pistol keep the Mod.2® Service Model on target for round after round. When you pick up the XD® Mod.2® 4” Service Model, you might find that a trip to the range is in your immediate future. After that, you’ll probably find that you’ve got a new favorite pistol.
I got this gun mainly for the price, safety features since I have a daughter and felt more safe with this. Also because when I held the Springfield 9mm and .45 acp I liked the feeling to it. I have fired around 500 rounds and have had no jams or failures. I use Winchester ammo and CCI ammo. At the range when executed right on my part it fires perfectly. I am very pleased to have this handgun and would definitely recommend it. Holds 13+1 could be better but that what you get when going .45 ACP. Delivery was great and when I got the gun was well cleaned looked great and was lubed as well. I will soon fire 500 rounds before cleaning it and then continue to up amount before I clean it to better get feel for it to see how much it can go and get dirty before starts to act up. I usually fire 100 rounds a range visit and clean it to keep weapon ready to go. Still with that being said it is good to test the limits on your weapon systems. If treated right this handgun will perform on its part as long as you do your part on the accuracy part you can not expect ammo or gun to hit bull eyes if you do not practice in the range which you should if you own a weapon.
