The Beretta 3032 Tomcat Two-Tone is tiny, sized like average cell phone. Besides offering the power of the .32 ACP cartridge, it sports a tough and durable two-tone finish.
The controls of the 3032 Tomcat Two-Tone are designed to be simple and to provide safety and peace of mind while carrying. The two-position safety engages crisply and positively, and locks the slide as well as preventing the pistol from firing. The magazine release is located to the left of the grip, making it easy to locate and operate even with one hand.
The 3032 features a tip-up barrel design typical of the classic Beretta small-frame pistols. Thanks to this design, you never need to rack the slide and you can load that first round directly into the chamber. This is especially convenient in cold weather, or for people with weaker hands. Another advantage is that the barrel may be easily cleaned without taking the pistol apart, making it convenient to give the pistol a quick wipe after a session at the range.
This is merely the Parkerized frame with the Inox slide and barrel. I have bought barrels & slides for a few of the black 3032 frames and made my own two tone 3032s. Some just have an Inox slide with the black barrel. Either way these are elegantly handsome little pocket pistols that have a more respectable round than the .25ACP. We could debate between .22LR and .32ACP, but 8 rounds of .32ACP is nothing I want to tangle with. The size is so small these fit any pocket, purse, handbag , or ankle holster, with ease. I can even carry a spare magazine along with the gun on my ankle. I was recently shooting my backup 3032 on a 10, 25 and 50 yard range at 25 & 50 yards, and getting groups that would be effective at 50 yards. Mind you, this takes lots and lots of practice, but most defensive situations will be at less than 5 yards. These guns, with acquired skill, will shoot effectively 10x that far. I love my 3032! I am buying a new set of tritium vials to refurbish my 1990s Alley Cat 3032 with night sights. That is going to cost me $75, and another $100+ in labor. Worth every penny to bring the old Alley Cat back to its original glorious condition!!! I considered reparkerizing or rebluing it, but the wear looks great. These are just awesomely cool looking and very reliable little guns. I have had some dirty ammo cause a stovepipe on the last round of the 4th magazine, but keep these clean, and they wont ever let you down. They just work. Pocket lint & neglect have never caused me any problems, but dirty Aguila ammo has. As I stated earlier, I was on my 4th magazine, and yes, I liked mine so much I have purchased 3 spare magazines for it.
