Having used this underbed safe for a year now, I've got to say I'm extremely impressed. No malfunctions of either the locking mechanism or drawer. The interior is so roomy I can pick up little valuables from around the house and store them there when leaving for days at a time. Now I'm extra glad I didn't get the smaller unit. Between guns and ammo, I have about 90 lbs in mine and the drawer works smoothly. Interior carpet is thin but adequate.
Although this is not a true safe, I feel it's rugged and heavy enough to deter most smash and grab type thief's. The only thing I had to modify on mine was to drill 4 holes 3/4 in the top so I could insert and tighten hold down bolts into the floor without complete drawer removal. If you have room to remove the drawer for install, and wrench from the inside, this will not be a problem. I did raise my bed to accommodate this large size unit, and am actually finding that beneficial since it opens up even more storage space below the bed on side not occupied by the safe.
SOSS shipped the safe promptly, had given it a plain cardboard over wrap, and it was undamaged. I'm happy with the product and the seller, and feel I got a good value.
