I purchased Hornady Frontier 5.56 55gr FMJ recently, and unfortunately, my last purchase did not match the description on the box. During my usual range night for members, I quickly noticed something was off with the first shot. After firing a few more rounds and checking my AR pistol, I realized the issue. The ammo is not the same as described on the box; it appears to be a cheaper brand, stamped with "ll 22" or something similar. This ammo is likely not even 55gr, and it's definitely not of the same quality as Hornady. I ran about 100 rounds of this questionable ammo through my gun, and it's clear it's not up to the standard I paid for. This experience has led me to reconsider buying 5.56 ammo online from this site in the future. I plan to check all the other ammo I've purchased from here, as I've had no issues until now. While I've had positive experiences with purchasing full guns and gun parts, this ammo swap is disappointing. I'm sharing my experience to inform others that the ammo you buy here might not be what you're paying a fair price for.
I have compared the 556 frontier ammo to several different types including green tip match. And the frontier cartridge out performs all hands down so guess what I will be using as my go to ammo you know it frontier. You know when you open the box that you have a1 cartridges they are very clean no dents just clean. So I recommend frontier to all. And thanks American outdoor super store for the great customer service.
Its a good load to shoot targets and play around with I just wish that the prices would get back to normal
Good ammo price is high but that just the way it is now. Shipping takes a little long but if you read the statements on the website it tells you it taking longer now.
Had a problem with the order getting lost in transit but I got ahold of customer service and they got it resolved the same day! Way to go guys! I look forward to doing business with them again!
This site has ammo when nobody else has it. My last order was delayed because of FED-EX screwing it up not SOS. A little pricey but what do you expect. These are desperate times!! Dont forget to vote! Now more than ever!!!
Some of the best ammo by far Ive shot though my rifle. Its a brand you can trust and some of the cleanest rounds on the market.
I’ve been trying to get ammo locally and had no luck. Saw that they were available on this site , so I decided to order some thinking it would take for ever to come. I received a notification after 3 days of ordering that it was shipped!! Will be ordering again
