I have been a fan of Savage rifles since the early 60s. I do own other brands, but speaking to the Savage product, my latest was the 110 in 308. Once the proper load was found that it liked it was effortless to 800 yard. I couldn't go further because of my inability to read a wicked wind. Overall, I am extremely happy with the rifle and its economical pricing.
Nice rifle. Plenty of possible adjustments. Great trigger. Sub moa groups. One complaint. The bolt doesn't always pick the round out of magazine. You have to push up on the magazine to load the next round occasionally.
I saw this Savage 110 Tactical on sale and read many good reviews of its performance. The gun was delivered to my FFL in less than a week. It was supposed to come with the AccuFit kit to adjust comb height and length of pull. Mine did not.
I contacted Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore regarding the problem. Diane emailed me the next day, apologized and quickly had the parts sent to me without question. I had the new parts in my hands within a week. I appreciate their excellent no question customer service and quick response. I highly recommend Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore.
The rifle itself has a super smooth trigger and very good consistency in shot placement. I look forward to making some longer range shots soon.
After leaving a review regarding slowness of the rebate, received a personal call from Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore. They called Savage and asked them to expedite the rebate. That's going above and beyond what's expected. One couldn't ask for any better customer service than that!
Very pleased with the 110. Basic sighting in shot 1 moa. Currently putting it in an XLR Element chassis and expect ever better. Not pleased with waiting since November for my rebate, I know sometimes rebates are slow but geez....
