The M&P M2.0 pistol, the newest innovation to the respected M&P polymer pistol line. Highlights of the M&P M2.0 pistol include an extended stainless-steel chassis and a low barrel bore axis for reduced muzzle rise and faster aim recovery. The M&P M2.0 pistol further improves performance with a fine-tuned, crisper trigger, lighter pull and a tactile and audible reset.

I've had my M&P45 2.0 Compact a couple of months now, and am very pleased with it. Initially the trigger take-up was very rough, and I did send it back to S&W to have it checked at n/c. It was returned in about 3 weeks, and the take-up was much better though the break seemed to be worse. It's totally acceptable for a carry gun, but not target gun quality by any means.
I've fired about 1000 rounds through it without a failure - which is important for a carry gun. I've tried numerous brands of 230 gr, FMJ and HP, and all have functioned perfectly.
I've fired it out to 50 yards and was impressed with the accuracy. The recoil is very manageable for .45, and the aggressive grip texture is great - and not too much to make it uncomfortable.
I've fired SIG 320s and XDMs, and the M&P just feels better, though I would say the triggers are better on the other guns. The grip angle is a traditional 18 degrees like a 1911, unlike a Glock with a 22 degree grip angle - which doesn't feel right after shooting 1911s for many years.
Overall I rated it as very good 4, with the trigger and the need to go back to the factory for work being the major issues holding it back from being excellent 5 of 5.
Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore has been great! They had this new model M&P in stock before any one else, and their prices and service have been excellent.
I just ordered another gun from them last week.
