The semi-automatic Sub-2000™ is designed to be the most convenient 9mm or .40 caliber rifle available. It’s adjustable and foldable to 16.25 x 7 inches for easy storage and can accept most popular handgun magazines. Plus it can easily be disassembled for cleaning or inspection without tools. Ideal for backpacking trips and situations where space and convenience are paramount.
This Kel Tec Sub-2000 is configured to accept Glock 19 9mm Magazines.
My Sub2000 looked pretty shabby when I picked it up at the FFL because the factory box was a little dorked and the packing/protective paper had disintegrated a little a heavily dusted/coated the firearm. However, I physically checked it for damage or defects and it had none. The bolt and spring assembly felt a little rough, but it cycled and dry fired ok. When I got home I disassembled it and realized that the circumference of an area around the inner portion of the bolt charging handle that seats inside the bolt is marred and slightly gouged. Finally got it to the range 2 weeks later and it functions beautifully and I was able to hit 4 inch square targets at 25 yards with factory ‘open sights’ immediately`;` no sight adjustment was necessary. I love the OD Green polymer it’s dressed in and the Sub2000 platform. I’m just disappointed with the marred charging handle. I still need to register it for warranty with Kel Tec and hopefully they’ll send me a replacement. I guess it’s best not accept an FFL transfer if packaging looks a little rough, but that wouldn’t have caused the marring of that area of the charging handle. It was either roughly installed at Kel Tec or by someone else who may have dis and reassembled at Sportsman’s`;` I’m inclined to believe it occurred at Kel Tec.
