The Patriot Walnut from Mossberg looks right on the gun rack and feels great when shouldered. The Patriot’s attractive spiral fluted bolts feature an ergonomic bolt angle and knurled bolt handle offering plenty of grip providing for quick follow-up shots and enhanced shooter comfort. Its box-magazine-fed action makes loading and unloading a snap.
Got it very late firearm season in MI in 2020. In Aug 2021, finally I sighted it in . Only took 4 shots to sight in. Very accurate. From 50 to 100 yard, the bullet drops about 5 inches Hornady subsonic, which isn't the rifle issue at all. The walnut stock looks gorgeous. The trigger is fine. Adjustable. The recoil is pretty bad even with rubber padding. But this is expected with Bushmaster 450. Feels pretty similar to 12 gauge slug. Lots of people hesitate buying Patriot rifles after watching bad YouTube review, including myself. I think those guys got a lemon. Mine shoots great. Strongly recommended! I will get another one when 308 gets back in stock.
