(5 out of 5) Taurus .22-LR
by from Queens, NY on

I thought this was a bit light, but it is a pretty great handler. Great practice gun for anyone beginning to learn how to shoot a pistol. I love it!

(5 out of 5) Best ever
by from Foley, AL on

I’ve owned a lot of pistols over the years and as most people know 22s are usually problematic by nature. But not this one it ran anything and everything I put in it only had one bullet it wouldn’t fire tried it five times and it had five primer hits on, that was the bullet not the gun. And when my other guns won’t shoot crappy Ammo I feed them to this one and it works, most reliable 22 I’ve ever owned!

(1 out of 5) BE WARNED - GARBAGE GUN
by from Mesa, AZ on

Still being produced with chattered barrels, even the replacement ones have chattering and foul up quickly, cant shoot straight. The rear factory sights are absolutely junk, they won't hold where you set them, and wander after every shot. The recoil spring assembly has a sharp front edge which gouges into the front of the slide and causes the entire front end to break off. Taurus knows about all these problems yet just doesn't care. ZERO customer support from Taurus, Ill never buy or recommend anything from them as long as I live. Go buy a KelTec P17 and don't look back.

(5 out of 5) Taurus TX22 First Impression
by from Dale City, VA on

Overall I love the feel and weight of this Taurus. It is easy to handle, and recoil is at a minimum with good control and maintains sight picture for rapid and accurate results. I did have some issues with miss feeds but was resolved with a better grade and higher velocity of ammunition.

(5 out of 5) AMAZING
by from ELko, MN on

This is the best fun gun, 22 pistol to own. Highly recommend, I have had it over a year and still love it.

(5 out of 5) Great 22!!!!
by from poughkeepsie, NY on

Great training pistol. Was not disappointed. no problems with many different 22lr ammunitions.

(5 out of 5) Best 22 Semi-automatic
by from Montclair, VA on

Reliable and fired every round I put threw it so far. Very accurate and fun to shoot even at 25 and 50 yards. A must have for the price. And it is a perfect trainer for my daughter before stepping up to a Taurus G3 or G2C

Fun, flawless shooter. Ideal for inexpensive practice. Completely satisfied with the pistol as well as Sportsman’s Outdoor Superstore.

(4 out of 5) Shoots well, seems to need a little break-in period
by from Las Vegas, NV on

Gun fits great in my hand, shoots well. Have had several FTF jams which will either sort themselves out with a little more range time, or Ill be calling warranty service.

(5 out of 5) Love it!!
by from Las Vegas, NV on

Great buy, shoots fantastic, 10 round plate at 25 yards no problem.

(5 out of 5) 5 stars all around
by from Batesville, AR on

What a great pistol. After reading many reviews, decided to go for it. Glad I did. The pistol at time of this writing is hard to get! A wonderful pistol to learn with or just plink and target shoot for us old timers.

(5 out of 5) Great gun right out of the box
by from Keene, TX on

Got it in today and put about 400 rounds of different ammo thru it. Worked great. Great little 22.

(5 out of 5) Excellent pistol
by from Las Vegas, NV on

Good hand fit, good capacity, exactly what I was looking for.

(5 out of 5) Love my TX22
by from SPARKS, NV on

I have had my Taurus for about 6 months now. Was planning to get the Kel-tec originally, but this one came out first, and had quite good reviews. If I could find an extended magazine for my M&P 22 compact, I wouldnt be writing this one...Anyway, I'm quite happy with it. Feels comfortable in the hand and light. With 15 rounds or so, I can shoot more before reloading. It is pretty darn quiet suppressed, even with normal ammo. Between my three 22lr pistols, this is the one I'm keeping if the wife ever makes me choose.

This is the finest pistol I own.

(5 out of 5) Chiefs Review
by from Brentwood, NH on

This is a great little pistol. I like Taurus products and decided to purchase this one due to being suppressor ready. This firearm is very reliable with multiple makes of 22 LR, with and without the suppressor. It's a real hoot shooting this with sub sonic ammo and suppressor. The action makes more noise then your shot.

(5 out of 5) Excellent in every way
by from Rock Island, IL on

It was voted gun of the year for a reason. 16 rounds and flawless action. Have a couple hundred rounds through it with no issues. A joy to shoot and perfect hand position. Both wife and I enjoy using it and because it is a full size semi auto it is a great gun to train on with no recoil. Highly recommended.
Sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com was great to deal with - my 3rd gun through them and wouldn’t hesitate to buy again.

(5 out of 5) Perfect M&P Trainer
by from Scottsdale, AZ on

5 stars all the way. My main training pistol is a M&P Long 9mm w/ safety. This pistol is a great, lower cost alternative to my 9mm. It feels very similar in the hand feels great, the safety has also the same feel and best yet, it fits perfectly in my M&P paddle retention holster. Accuracy, trigger and shoot-ability is just as good as all the reviews I've read.

I really like the larger size as my SR22 and M&P compact 22lr are just so small in the hand. This has a much larger feel like a full size double stack 9mm. If you're looking for a cheap 22lr pistol to shoot fast and respectably accurate, this is one to highly consider.

This thing is a joy to shoot. If you are looking for an inexpensive plinker you can stop right here, you've just found it.

(5 out of 5) Whoa!!!!
by from Chicago, IL on

I'm usually not a Taurus guy but.... dang this thing is amazing. I've got about 733 rounds through it with ZERO ISSUES... IT EATS ALL TYPES OF 22LR. Like a fat girl in a buffet. It's not picky at all.. I've shot feds, CCI, Winchester, Remington thunder bolts..
I'm amazed.. for 219- 50 =$169.99 with free shipping.. that deal is hard to beat.. this beats the CP33..the trigger is surprisingly good.

(5 out of 5) TX22 it's true
by from Axton, VA on

BELIEVE all the 5 star reviews! BELIEVE the great reviews on YouTube! Got mine today and was very impressed after half of a brick of CCI standard velocity. I would say more but it's all good with this gun. Just don't listen to the ones that wear their ball caps sideways. Thanks SOSS!

(5 out of 5) Great Gun
by from Catawba, SC on

I have had this gun now for about a month. It worked great right out of the box. It is all they have said about it. Could not be any more happier with the gun. I am using the mini-mags like it said to use, they work great. It is in my bag every time I go to the range. Have not had any problems at all.

(1 out of 5) FRONT SIGHTS
by from Rincon, GA on

Picked up the firearm on 5/9, took out to the range on 5/11. Not even 50 rounds in and the front sight was loose to the point it was just spinning around in circles. Huge disappointment, as I have several Taurus firearms.
Now the good side is, I fired CCI, Blazer and many other 40gr 22lr and the TX22 ate everything up. Light weight, handles well, feels great in the hand and the weight is even.

Need to get that front sight issue resolved. Ask me about accuracy....can't really say right now as the front sight threw me off, but even with that at 20 feet all on target center mass. 2 magazines holding 16 rounds each. Great plinker!

(5 out of 5) Reliable performance
by from Wylie, TX on

This is my first Taurus I have owned. The 16+1 capacity and the feel of a full size handgun is what drew me to this one. I have a S&W Model 422 where it does not like certain ammo brands even if they are all high velocity. I ran 6 different types of ammo through the TX22 on my first range trip with it, and it shot all of them without any failures. Winchester white box, Remington Golden Bullet to CCI Mini Mags and Stingers, all smooth shooting double taps to a full mag dump as fast as my finger can pull the trigger. The trigger is good with hardly any creep/crunch before the break and a short reset. Great trainer and perfect beginner handgun in my opinion.
