(5 out of 5) Beautiful gun
by from Longview, WA on

Picked it up today after the BS wait time now required, even if you have a CPL, since the Seattle/Tacoma morons voted in I-1639. Beautiful gun. Reminiscent of my Model 19 that I carried in the late 70s as a deputy sheriff except for the exposed extractor rod. Weight and grips are very close.
The only gripe, or more appropriate, warning that I have is that the edges of the extractor are razor sharp, and, yes, I found out the hard way during initial inspection and cleaning. I have read comments about ammunition being tight and requiring that the cylinder be buffed to make loading easier. This was not the case at, least with my gun. It loaded easily manually and also with an HK speed loader with no issues with several different makes of ammunition. I hope to get out and shoot it in a couple of days, but as with all S&W products that I have owned, I anticipate flawless function and accuracy.
