The G3 continues the proven polymer-frame profile now in a full-frame configuration, with generous stippling patches across the grip for maximum control and retention in any shooting condition, an ergonomic palm swell and side-frame Memory Pads that provide quick, positive hand positioning. The frame has an integrated Picatinny rail. A manual safety and slide release lever are optimally positioned above the thumb for easy manipulation. A refined element of the G3 is the 6-lb. trigger, designed with a smooth take-up and a surprisingly crisp, clean break exceeding that of typical striker-fired pistol trigger performance. A short reset promotes quick, controlled follow-up shots.

Sportsmans got my order out faster than i expected! No problems at all Great G3 pistol. Very Happy
It was easy once upon a time to laugh at the quality of Taurus firearms. After all it had Miami as its headquarters. Well those days are long gone. Its been some time since I held a Taurus in hand let alone shoot one. Well have things changed for this company.
This G3 if it is indicative of what I call the new Taurus ranks right up there with a Smith or a Ruger. The G3 is an accurate, soft shooting 9mm. It fits several holsters that I already own. The two mags, one flush fit 15 rounder and a seventeen round mag with a space filler, is just right. The gun is easy to field strip and has all the features, including a thumb safety, which I really appreciate. There are other nice things like a rounded frame, especially at the barrel.
Only negative so far is the mags are not readily available. So far I have put about 500 rounds through a G3 with stainless slide with no stoppages. I have another on order for one other member of the family. I just may make this pistol our family standard. At $249 how could you not?!
