Carry the ultimate in covert attitude. Introducing the new FNS™-9 Compact FDE – a striker-fired 9mm with ambidextrous controls and a grip angle that provides unmatched point of aim. Engineered and tested to be the perfectly compact, reliable, and battle-tested handgun. The FNS™-9 Compact FDE offers the same features as the standard models but has a 3.6” barrel and is designed to be snag-free for better concealment and a faster draw. The front sight also has a larger dot for faster target acquisition. The FNS™-9 Compact FDE comes with two 12-round and one 17-round magazines.
The FNS 9C is my EDC. It is completely reliable. I have put hundreds of rounds through it with zero problems. I use the 12 round flush at carry. I keep the extended 12 and the 17 in my other pocket. The 17 gives it the full size feel.
I like that the gun is made in America - South Carolina. Every time I strip it down to clean it the quality is obvious.
The rails are precise and perfectly machined. The barrel is as good or better than any aftermarket I have ever bought. The springs are strong, but just enough`;` not easy to rack, but not hard either. The trigger is solid but not stiff - 5# to 6# I’d say, and a nice clean break and short reset.
I have an FN 40 Cal that is really fun to shoot. Incredible feel & accuracy.
I had been eyeballing these for quite sometime, 2-3yrs. I was being patient and letting individuals put tons of rounds through theirs and awaiting feedback. FN hardly ever disappoints, they make quality firearms period. Once I seen the night sight models this cheap it was a no brainer. I bought the FNS9C in fde back in December and just this week bought a FNS9C in black, kinda goes without saying, but I really like these guns.
Triggers are fantastic, gun stays on target extremely well, it conceals very nicely. I have been packing it in an aiwp and have had no printing issues. These pistols are a great addition for anyone looking for an edc, home defense 17rd mag `;` or a range gun. Five Stars here!
I had been shopping around for this firearm for a while, and thought this deal was too good to be true at $419 with night sights. I went ahead and ordered, and sure enough, this firearm shipped with Tritium. Great deal.
This is my second FN handgun, after my FNX 45 Tactical. Both perform flawlessly.
Includes a flush mount mag, an extended pinky grip mag, and the big boy 17rd extended mag. No brainer.
This will be my concealed weapon. 10/10 would recommend.
This FNS-9C FDE is very impressive... and at this price, even better. It's a top-notch firearm, feels great in the hand, trigger is crisp with a short reset. Mag release is different than I'm used to but functions fine. The night sights are great - they are not marked but they look like Trijicon HD sights. My only slight complaint is the polymer frame has a shroud by the slide lock/release so using it as a release is a bit difficult. Racking the slide with your off-hand is a must.
According to my serial number, this pistol did not need the striker recall service from FN. This pistol is very light, so EDC should not be an issue but recoil was a bit more pronounced than I expected. I shoot mostly .40 and .45 as a comparison. The color of the FDE is lighter in this picture compared to my firearm, which is a good thing.
When I ordered this, SOSS had a disclaimer to expect 7 day delivery or longer. Longer it was, I didn't get a shipping notice until 9 days later - after sending an inquiry to them. By the time it was at my FFL, it was over two weeks before I had it in my hand. About a week after I ordered this, I ordered some .40 ammo and received it before the pistol. I've ordered many times from SOSS, always with fast shipping and great deals... this order just served as a lesson in patience. I still feel it's a good thing when a gun company is swamped with orders. Keep it up!!! America.
