After finding the unit to be ineffective beyond 500 yds using reflective targets, I established communication with a Vortex representative whom CONFIRMED its inefficient performance and further stated his satisfaction with Vortex discontinuing the unit. If you are shooting beyond 500 yds this is not the range finder for you. I have considerable respect for the Vortex brand as an optics leader, however, even the best brands have products that under perform against the companies represented capabilities.
