If you’re in the market for a 17-round, compact .22LR pistol with more bells & whistles than a Christmas Day parade, then the P17 is definitely for you!

At less than 14-ounces fully loaded, and barely longer than a dollar bill, the P17 is concealable for pretty much anyone. Just don’t forget it’s there when you need it! The threaded barrel, Picatinny-style accessory rail, ambidextrous safety, ambidextrous magazine release and three (3) 16rd magazines come standard. Don’t let the small size fool you. This little pistol is a tack driver. The excellent trigger, fiber optic front sight and adjustable rear sight help you extend the P17’s range. It’s a handy little .22LR that builds confidence and burns bull’s eyes.

Every tool has a purpose and having the right tool for the job sets you up for success. Its size, weight, and caliber are the perfect combination for training that new shooter in your life. (4 out of 5) Super Little Gun
by from Fort Pierce, FL on

I spent a lot of time looking for a pistol for my wife. She has little experience with firearms, so I didn’t want to get her anything too powerful. This little gun shoots straight, and so far, there have been no problems.

A great little gun and a super deal from Sportsman’s Outdoor Superstore!

(5 out of 5) Great Pistol No issues
by from Hackberry, AZ on

My experience with this pistol is, as reviews have stated, accurate right out of the box. I have thousands of rounds through it with no issues at all. Sorry to hear about others with barrel issues, but not with mine. Not sure how a .22LR would mess up a barrel unless it's a total manufacturing error, which isn't my situation. Nothing but good, cheap, accurate shooting. Love the thinness and lightweight. 3-16 round capacity is great, plus the front green Hi-Res sight keeps you on target. A+.

(1 out of 5) Bore problems
by from Orange, FL on

Bore disintegrated twice after 30 to 40 rounds using standard velocity both times. Takes over a month for Kel Tec to fix each time. This is my first Kel Tec and my last. I purchased from my local gun store, not from this site, just felt others should be aware of. Cheap barrel material.

(4 out of 5) Fun plinker
by from SANDOWN, NH on

Very fun to shoot, breaking in grandson; wife likes it. No real kick, works great with a suppressor. Not the greatest accuracy, but it's a .22, and feeds are sometimes FTE or stovepipe. Put about 400 rounds; all seem to cycle the same, not great. CCI, Max, subsonic, Aguila, Winchester. Seems to be getting better as broke in. Easy to load; lots of cheap, cheap ammo.

(4 out of 5) It’s very accurate but…
by from Lake Park, MN on

The good: it is extremely light, almost shockingly. A pleasure to shoot. Very accurate. The bad: the safety latch works itself up into the safe position almost every magazine. You are then left pulling a trigger with nothing happening. It appears to be able to be tightened with an Allen wrench but it doesn’t hold. May have to send back. Too bad, nice gun.

(5 out of 5) Accurate, light & reliable!
by from San Antonio, TX on

I've put 250 rounds through it without a single failure. The magazines were pretty tight initially but have loosened a bit. The fiber front sight and adjustable rear sights had me hitting three groups at 20 yards. I used Loctite on the rear adjustable screw as recommended. You can really get off 16 rounds in a few seconds. Soooo much inexpensive fun!

(4 out of 5) Lots of fun
by from SANDOWN, NH on

Easy to shoot, unbelievably quiet with a suppressor. Love the 17 rounds. Feels well-made for a plastic gun. My wife loves shooting it. A little finicky on the slide-hold button, but it seems to work better with the magazine in. The same thing, you have to install the magazine first to rack properly. Nice and fun for the money.

(5 out of 5) good gun
by from Petersburg, OH on

This Keltec shoots great and it's worth the money.

(1 out of 5) Not so good
by from Goodyear, AZ on

Keltec has been great to deal with but my gun was a lemon. They replaced the barrel 3 times barrels would lead up after only 50 to 60 rds of copper plated rds. Then it had FTF and FTE problems. After sending it back the 4th time they gave me my money back minus tax and transfer fee. I really liked it and wished it would have worked.

Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore service is great.

I have been shooting over 50 years. Many, many, many guns and this is the first bad one I have ever had. I would probably buy one again but my shooting buddies would laugh me off the range!! Don't be afraid to try one, price is awesome, and the co well back it up.

(5 out of 5) This gun is awesome

Nice pistol, very accurate, and super. Grab one or two or three if possible!
