The MC21 is a traditional double-action pistol. The MC21 has a combination decocker/safety lever located towards the rear of the slide. When thumbed downward, this lever allows the shooter to safely bring the hammer down on a loaded chamber. This decocker/safety feature is not unlike that found in Beretta 92 series pistols. In fact, most of Girsan’s earlier pistols, generically tagged Yavuz 16, are straightforward clones of the Beretta 92. While the newer MC21 has a distinct look, its internal workings are still very much Beretta inspired.
The Gun is a very nice looking Gun, well balanced. Took it to the range, shot awesome for two full mags, after the second mag every shot ways getting jammed. Used several different types of ammo, different grain, same thing. Send the gun back to EAA, apparently they said it shot flawlessly, took it back to the range, same thing. Called customer service no help. Been waiting for them to call me back for three days. Nothing yet, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, STAY AWAY FROM THIS JUNK. I will never buy another EAA gun again and I will prevent all my friends from buying one.
BTW: Are the factory magazines for this EAA Girsan MC21 9mm interchangeable with the factory mags for the EAA Girsan Regard 9mm Pistol.
Finally had a chance to go to the gun range to try out my new Girsan MC21 9mm. Beautiful gun, shot a whole round, then a second round, fell in love with the pistol, had very little recoil, but right after that the pistol was getting jammed after every shot. Went from 115 grain to 124 grain but still had the same problem.
I am still positive that its going to be something small that will fix the problem. Sending it back for service after the first time of taking it to the range.
I like the idea of da sa semiautos. The few reviews I’d seen on this firearm were positive.Considering the pandemic I received my order fairly quickly. Taking my last box of federal 115 FYI, from Walmart about 40 bucks for 200 rounds I went to the range. The gun shot really good and the recoil was noticeably reduced. I had a few failures to feed which were easily cleared. If I had more ammunition I probably would have broken it in. I can’t throw 500 dollars worth of bullets thru a 400 dollar pistol. Just can’t. Overall seems a well built pistol. Have to work on reliability.
