The FXH-45 MOXIE looks and feels different with an all new barrel, slide and sight set. This is a hybrid 1911 that has a patented polymer frame with two metal inserts for added stability and durability. The MOXIE also features a 4140 steel slide with a parkerized finish. The frame was built to have an ergonomic feel with built in finger grooves. This new breed of 1911 is compatible with most standard 1911 parts and grips. Made in similar fashion as ATI's other hybrids.

I purchased the Moxie Hybrid and it arrived quickly at my designated FFL. However, upon inspection I found pitting and scratches on the slide and some kind of glue, clay or mud ingrained into the checkering of the grip so thoroughly that it did not appear to be easily removable without damaging the stain or checkering. In addition, beware of this product because the finger grips are not in a natural position for at least my fingers and were uncomfortable to grip. Im sure if I put 50 rounds through it there would be pain due to the way the fingergrips force your hands into an awkward position. The finger grips are also built into the frame so they cannot be changed in the aftermarket according to the company. I did not take possession of the firearm and am having it sent back to Sportsmans. Sportsmans by the way took 5 business days to return my email request. Well see where it goes from here.
I purchased the Moxie from Sportmans and it was shipped within a few days. I received it from my FFL. shop. ..All went smooth for that part, fast forward. 1 hour. at home, for the opening of the firearm from the plastic bag, it was, inside the case. then I saw it, the left side of the slide factory coatings was a bad mess. . heartbroken, seeing that. Soo. not returning it. sending it to my custom shop for a custom paint job, so it was kind of a good thing. I always wanted to have a custom job, this, way I am getting it.
