EOTECH’s Vudu 1-10x28 offers a robust 34mm, one-piece aircraft aluminum tube and single-piece eyepiece that includes a removable throw-lever for fast changes in magnification. The low profile elevation turret includes a push/pull locking system and a capped windage turret for a secure zero. The illuminated, glass-etched reticle and first focal plane design allows for distance estimation at any magnification and lighting condition.
For a LPVO, so far it is a top contender in terms of glass clarity. Compared to Athlon Ares 1-10 and Trijicon Credo 1-8, this scope (as well as the others) lacks a side focus or parallax adjustment. At 100yds, the sight picture lacks the sharpness that a side focus could achieve. It is a first focal plane so reticle at 1 power offers an aim point, at increased power the MRAD reticle works well providing hold over and windage hash marks. If it had the side focus, it would have scored a 5. Wait for it to be on sale, have seen it at the $1200 to $1250 price point.
