This limited run Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Plus Bug Out Bundle includes one MP9 Shield Plus 9mm Optic Ready Micro-Compact Pistol, FIVE Total magazines, a First Aid Kit, and an M&P Branded Black Bug out Bag.
Smith & Wesson is excited to introduce a new addition to the M&P family! Their new Shield Plus Optic Ready pistols are chambered in 9MM and have a 3.1" barrel now with slide cut for optics, orange ring tritium front sight, black tritium rear sight.
Bought this to EDC in place of my Glock 27. It’s thinner, has night sights, and, after 500+ rounds, works great. Magazines take a bit to get broken in for 13 rounds, but after some use, you can get 13 in no problem. Seen other comments about the trigger. In my opinion, it’s got a better trigger than most other models, crisp, not a lot of take up, and reset is as good as all the other brands. This is a good gun it’s size is not too small if you are looking for an EDC, this one won't disappoint.
I wanted a 9mm compact/subcompact or micro that was optics-ready, enter this product. What I like/love about this bundle: 9mm platform, tritium sights, extra magazines, a somewhat useful carry bag. The boo-boo bag is just that. Get a blowout kit! What I did not like: the trigger! I do not know why S&W cannot get the stock trigger system right As with all my other S&W items, the trigger has at best a horrible reset that takes the trigger nearly out to the resting point then there is the issue of the gravel-like feel of the trigger. Time to replace this trigger. I have another 9mm system that, out of the box, has a trigger system that rivals the aftermarket triggers I have in my other S&Ws. When will S&W stop putting in poor quality triggers?
The gun is a little snappy for my big hands. It’s made for a smaller hand. It’s a good and fun fun to shoot. Me, personally, I need a bigger frame
Good bang for the buck. Nice. Not too snappy. No hiccups. Accurate for such a lil fella. Feels good in hand. Awesome out of box trigger. Trigger guard is a tad small, otherwise, A+ all the way around. Biggest bummer, I bought too late to get the refund.
Despite all the negative reviews, I went ahead and purchased this S&W M&P Shield Plus ready bug out bundle. Shipping was very fast with zero issues. I received everything and in excellent condition. I’m very happy with my purchase and I will make another one. Thanks!
Purchased this item and 3 of the 13 round magazines would only hold 12 rounds. Smith & Wesson should replace or fix the problem. Tell us the truth about your product or loose business.
Awesome little package S&W put out! The 13rd mags are hard to load but manageable with a decent speed loader. Other than that, it's a very nice little package.
The firearm is very reliable. Cleaned and lubed before first shooting. Put 250 rounds of hard ball with no ftf or fte. The sights are easy to see and accurate. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars for customer satisfaction is the magazines. The “13” rd magazines only load 11 rounds and that last round in is really tight. Using a UpLuLu loader and really had to force the 11th round in. I tried leaving the magazine loaded for a week to loosen the spring, didn’t work. I have read this is a continual issue with these magazine. The package price was inviting, the bug out bag is just ok, the first aid kit is fine for range use. The extra magazines make this a good deal, would be better if you could fully load them.
When I saw the price drop to $449, I had to pull the trigger on this deal. Forget the first aid kit and bug out bag...the pistol and extra mags alone make this the deal of the year.
I am happy with this purchase to the extent that received exactly what I was expecting. Unlike another reviewer, my pistol did come with the Tritium sights, as specified. After the sale, things didn't go as well. I registered for the $50 S&W rebate the day I picked it up. A couple of days later I received an email stating that my submission was rejected because my serial number was invalid. I figured I had entered it incorrectly so I contacted the rebate processor via chat and was told that I had entered the correct serial number but that it did not qualify for the rebate! This package qualifies, just not my specific weapon, apparently and possibly others. I chatted with an SOSS employee who said they would look into it but I am skeptical that this will be resolved to my satisfaction. If something changes Ill update my review here.
Everything on this package is first rate. The only draw back is that the 13 round magazines are only 12 round magazines withe extreme effort and perhaps the hulk could get a 13th in but I certainly can't. Not a big deal but, well, my truth.
Excellent gun and very good package, especially with the rebate. However, the orange ring tritium front sight, black tritium rear sight that is noted was not received on my gun. Mine is just standard sights. Idk if the upgraded shield plus got traded out somewhere to be sold separately for extra $$ or if the mistake was made by the manufacturer. Needless to say its very disappointing. If I had known this was going to be the case I probably would have chosen something different. I'm sure I could probably get SOSS to take it back but with what is going on, is anyone really returning guns these days? Or do you just accept whatever you got and be thankful you have it? Overall, I guess its still an ok package but much less so now having to make decisions and go to the extra costs, time and trouble of upgrading the sights.
