The compact nature of this carbine owes to its bolt-over-barrel design and feeding through the grip. The Ruger LC Carbine has a full 16.25" barrel, features a reversible side-folding stock adjustable for length of pull, and is compatible with Picatinny rail-mounted accessory stocks. The stock and Rapid Deploy adjustable sights can be folded for storage.
Utilizing the same magazines and controls as the innovative Ruger-5.7™ pistol, the LC Carbine is the ultimate range companion. Even when using typical 40 grain 5.7x28mm jacketed bullets, this high-performing carbine’s felt recoil is comparable to a .22 LR. Like the Ruger-5.7 pistol, the LC Carbine utilizes Ruger's safe, reliable and proven Secure Action™ fire-control mechanism that combines a protected internal hammer with a bladed-safety trigger that has a short, smooth pull, clean break and positive reset. The fluted, nitride-coated alloy steel barrel is durable and lightweight and allows for the attachment of standard muzzle accessories.
Made in the USA of strong and lightweight materials, the Ruger LC Carbine is ideal for the range, backpacking, small game, or anywhere a versatile and reliable carbine is appreciated.
This is a great gun. It's not the biggest round, but it is effective on moderate and small sized targets. This gun is accurate and fun. The included sights co-witness perfectly with AR sized red dots like the Holosun AEMS that I put on it. It shoots fast and has very little recoil. It is also quieter than the 5.7 pistols. It isn't a bad stock, but just the few decibel reduction from a small linear compensator CMMG zeroed is what I have, and is enough to not cause discomfort in your ears outdoors if you don't have plugs. If you have a Ruger 57 or PSA Rock 5.7 pistol with compatible mags, it is a great companion for the 25% velocity increase and added accuracy. PSA Rock magazines work, but they don't spring out the same on the mag release. They just sort of fall out. This is a great camping, ranch, or target gun. Probably what I'd take if I had to bugout due to ammo and gun weight, plus size. You could take a deer with a couple quick shots in an emergency, but Id never take it hunting for anything deer or bigger normally. It's my favorite purchase of the past few years.
