I was able to spin the spike inside the marker as soon as it was unpackaged. Why? Because there’s no epoxy inside! The marker survived two strikes into a wood board before the spike busted through the bottom off the marker, if the cap wasn’t on it could injure the end user. There’s a reason these markers typically cost $5-$10 more than this piece.
