This Remington Disintegrator .38 Special+P is police trade-in ammunition that was originally issued to a department but was never used or even opened.

You need the right ammunition for self-defense, and that’s where Remington come in. These .38 Special rounds are 101 grain, making them quite lightweight for the cartridge size and therefore capable of reaching higher speeds. They’re frangible rounds, which is why they’re so light; frangible rounds are produced by pressing powdered copper into solid shape. Frangible rounds shatter on impact, which is why these are called Disintegrator rounds.
