More than just another deer cartridge, the venerable .30-30 has been the king of deer calibers since its introduction as a sporting cartridge in 1985. In fact, it’s a safe bet that in the past century, no other cartridge has put more antlers on the wall and meat in the freezer than the time-honored .30-30.

Like every Henry rifle, the Brass Lever Action .30-30 Side Gate is 100% American-made, carrying on our nation’s tradition of fine lever action gunsmithing. The H009BG’s signature hardened brass receiver sports a side loading gate, allowing you to top off the five-round tubular magazine without dropping the rifle from your shoulder. We also retained our traditional removal magazine tube, allowing for safe and easy reloads after a successful day in the field. With both loading options at your disposal, you’ll always find your rifle at the ready and your sights on the fur.

A classic semi-buckhorn rear sight and brass bead front sight sit atop the visually striking 20” blued steel octagon barrel, accompanied by a straight grip genuine American walnut stock and forearm and a polished brass barrel band. Like all Henry lever actions, our slick, finely machined action inspires confidence in the field, making quick follow-up shots effortless.

Very happy with my new Henry 30-30 with brass receiver and octagon barrel. Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore had it to my FFL quickly...ran three different brands of ammo thru it and had no problems at all...I had been looking at this model for a while, and when I saw the price SOSS had on it, I had to pull the trigger and buy this. Its a great addition to my collection...buy one, you will love it...Life is good.
