(3 out of 5) Poor Fit and Finish
by from Whitehall, PA on

The shotgun performed well at the range. No failures when running through a full box of shells. Recoil felt somewhat less than my other 12-gauge shotguns, which are pump-action. Now for the not-so-good. The flat black finish looked nice but does not look good on my hands. The finish literally rubbed off onto my hands right out of the box. At first, I assumed it was factory grit and grime. However, it never stopped rubbing off, and that was just me handling the barrel and mag tube. The finish started to completely rub off down to bare metal after taking the barrel off two or three times. It was horrible. Also, the wood handguard required attention in order to fit back onto the gun. There's more, such as don’t believe the barrel assembly diagram in the owner’s manual. After attempting to contact MAC customer service several times, I eventually learned with my fourth request that certain parts in the diagram aren’t actually used.
