The TAR 20 takes the style and aesthetics of the AR/M4 rifle to the shotgun platform giving the end-user a familiar manual of arms and controls. The integrated picatinny rails on the receiver and handguard give multiple mounting options for optics and other accessories. The TAR 20 utilizes the industry standard T-1919 shotgun magazine, that are available in varying capacities up to 20rds.
Had read a couple of review, more on the 12ga than the 20. Some good, some just average. Decided to give the 20 a try. Surgery near left shoulder made my 12ga a bit of a handful.
Quick sight-in with red dot and ran a box of turkey shot. No hang-ups, no failure to eject, just a smooth-running gun. Granted, that’s only 25 rounds, but for a new gun, with a preliminary cleanup and no break-in period, I found it very impressive.
Went 4 across the board only because of the limited time factor and less than a hundred rounds. Time will tell in the long run. Just one old man's 73-year-old opinion, so make of it what you will.
