This is police trade-in ammunition that was originally issued to a police department, but was never used.
The Hornady 168 gr. A-MAX® TAP Precision® law enforcement cartridge offers match accuracy with a high ballistic coefficient providing superior long-range performance. This load demonstrates expansion and fragmentation similar to the 110 gr. load, but with a noticeable increase in penetration and retained bullet weight. This bullet penetrates glass with minimal deflection and exhibits excellent expansion and fragmentation characteristics.

A highway patrol friend told me about how they use this ammo. I started Googling about how the round would do with deer. I bought a box a was amazed at how it would drop a deer in it tracks. In 308 it is deadly.
