The CZ 457 American, a classic rimfire rifle, features a 24” barrel intended for use with a scope, as it does not have built-in sights. It features a Turkish walnut stock with a high, flat comb and traditional checkering. The rifle includes an 11mm dovetail on the receiver for mounting scopes.
A notable upgrade from previous models is the addition of an American-style push-to-fire safety, addressing a long-standing request from Hunter’s Education instructors and 4-H shooting coaches. The 457 American also incorporates several enhancements: the action is nearly an inch shorter and redesigned for reduced weight, while the stamped bottom metal has been replaced with a refined two-piece interlocking system. The new 60° bolt rotation allows for easier scope fitment, and the adjustable trigger improves customization. With its swappable barrel system and reliable polymer magazine, the CZ 457 American represents the pinnacle of rimfire rifle design.
