The Savage Model 42 Takedown is a compact, field-ready rimfire/shotgun combo that breaks down with the push of a single button for easy transport and storage. The break-open design fires .22 WMR (top barrel) and .410 bore shotshells (bottom barrel), offering versatile small-game and pest-control capability in one platform. Its synthetic stock with Flat Dark Earth finish, black satin barrels and included Uncle Mike's Go Bag make it an ideal “bug-out” or pack gun for outdoorsmen.
