Compact and lightweight, the LCP MAX is the definitive pocket-sized personal protection pistol. A textured grip frame provides a secure and comfortable grip, while its slide features raised cocking ears and functional serrations for easy manipulation. Slide and frame surfaces and edges are soft and smooth for comfortable carry and handling. The tritium front sight with white outline makes for fast acquisition in all light conditions and rear sight features a generous u-notch for easy alignment. Its patented barrel cam geometry delays unlocking, slows the slide, and ultimately reduces felt recoil compared to other .380 Auto pistols. The LCP Max fits most existing LCP II holsters. Includes one magazine, soft pocket holster and magazine loader.
This is my second LCP Max. It’s a good gun for intended purpose. It’s reliable, accurate for a micro pistol, and has good capacity. I downgraded from 9mm and don’t feel outgunned. It’s half the weight of my P365, which matters to me when it’s always on me. It’s a good “get away from me” gun. This is the 3rd gun I’ve purchased from Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore and all three transactions have been favorable. Good prices and fast shipping. Good stuff.
Fast shipping, and a good price for this pistol. I received the pistol and disassembled it and cleaned it and then took it to the range the same day. I was shooting 95 gr. FMJ-FN and 90 gr Hornady Critical Defense FTX ammo. When loading 10 rds in the mag and one round in the chamber there were no malfunctions of any kind during firing 50 total rounds. I was shooting at 7 yds. The pistol grouped 3.5 inches low, with a 2-inch by 2 1/2 inch group. That is probably good enough for an up-close designed pistol. I like the fact that the rear sight has a generous flat face to use to rack the slide by using the corner of a desk, etc., and just pushing down and let the slide stop catch and hold the pistol open. The pistol goes in and out of a front pocket very easily. One downside is the pistol being so small it has enough recoil that after 3 mags my hand was very uncomfortable. But overall for what this pistol is designed for I am pretty pleased with it.
