The Patrol model is an addition to the Ruger American Rifle Generation II family. Patrol models feature an attractive black stock textured with black splatter for excellent grip and control in the field as well as a durable, Graphite black Cerakote barreled action. The bull contour, cold hammer-forged barrel helps to mitigate recoil for extended range sessions. The muzzle is threaded to accept suppressors or other muzzle accessories. Includes a color-matched thread protector, one magazine and steel sling swivel studs.
I bought this gun because I got a good deal on 5.56 and was given like 200 rounds. I needed a rifle, saw this one for sale, and decided to buy it, and man, does it feel nice to shoot. Put a really nice scope on it. Had to zero it in, and with my dad, who is a better shot than me at grouping, got it going for 75 feet. I put like 50 rounds downrange, zeroed it out, and enjoyed the rifle. It’s not heavy. It’s got some heft, so it feels nice. It looks really nice with the graphite splatter on the stock. I think wood would be nicer. Once I get a chance to in the future, I might do some more shooting practice with this to help improve my grouping.
