Great price from Sportsman Outdoor Superstore. 5th gun I have bought from them this year. Their prices are the best around period. The 605 is a great shooting Revolver. Was very accurate for such a small gun. Like the flat black finish and grips are very comfortable. The recoil was manageable with 357 and very mild with 38 special. I am very pleased with this purchase.
Initially had to file the cylinder stop to ensure lock up. Also had to secure the ejector rod with Lock Tite. Minor stuff but still bothersome. Now it runs like a champ and handles heavy duty loads reliably. Very fun to shoot. Confident to use as EDC. Well worth the price if you don't mind doing a little tweaking.
I looked at most reviews...went ahead and purchased it, and I’m super happy I did. Kick with .357 Mag is harsh but expected. It’s perfect with .38 +P or just .38 Spl...kick is much easier to manage and get back on target. I would recommend...
Absolutely love the Taurus 605 .357 Magnum. Looking online before I shot it, reviews said 357 rounds through it were hard to handle, but I handle them well, and it shoots 38s like butter.
I purchased a Taurus 605 snub nose matte black about a year ago. I've only put maybe 50 rounds through it, but the front of the barrel that aligns with the cylinder is chipping. I don't know when it even started to chip. So now I'm going to see how Taurus handles a replacement. Also, engravings on the pistol, as far as the serial number and Taurus stamp, were under par as well. I'm going to attribute to that to just a bad individual make. Actively seeking replacement because other than that it starts fine, handled fine.
