Remington Thunderbolt 22LR rimfire rifle ammunition offers high performance at an economical price. Featuring a 40 grain lead round nose bullet, this rimfire ammo reaches a muzzle velocity of 1255 fps.
I have fired the thunderbolts through a Glock 44 and a revolver and no misfires.
If you don’t mind some extra pistol cleaning this is your ammo. I’ve shooting this stuff for many years. I shoot mostly in my Ruger New Single Six. Don’t recall any misfires with this ammo. I’d recommend this ammo for a cheap day at the range if you don’t a little more cleaning. It definitely burns dirty..
These bullets are good for price but definitely dirty. I had to clean my mp15-22 after every 200 rounds.
I am not complaining - years ago I got a box of 550 that contained 573 rounds. Recently, I got a box of 500, and since I transfer to the plastic 100 round holders, it was easy to tell this one had 499 rounds. I actually laughed out loud.
Big time dirty rounds. Worst I’ve ever experienced in my 30 plus years plinking.
BUY THEM NOW. Seriously, these rounds are great for plinkin and will not disappoint you. I have not had one mis-fire as of this post. Not as clean as copper coated, but then you knew that going in. Very affordable at about 2.5 cents/round. Order some today!
Until 2018, I had not purchased any 22 ammunition. I am glad to see that the prices have finally come down to a reasonable level. These work great for plinking, which is mainly what I do when I shoot. I usually do no shoot farther than 30 feet, so this round does a great job at breaking bottles and stationary clay pigeons. I placed two orders and was very surprised at the great condition in which they arrived. At this price of $13.99, it is a spectacular purchase, especially when compared to the past 10 years. I bought three boxes in one order, then six. I usually keep the quantity on the side to give the ammo the best chance of arriving unscathed. I can always tell when it arrives because the delivery person drops it and I hear a loud thump. I suppose dropping it won't set it off, but these delivery guys are abusive sometimes. Kudos to SOSS for packing my orders very well.
Overall good ammo. Ran through my SR22 and had issues with a couple rounds. But pistol hadnt been cleaned after a couple days of shooting, and after a good cleaning, those issues disappeared. My favorite 22 ammo to shoot is CCI mini mags, but that can get pretty expensive. These are fine for me when I just want to shoot some targets.
Nice and reliable, just like my old lady. Prefer this over Blazer, and price is normally better too.
Purchased a 500rd brick two weeks ago went the range had nothing but problems tonight counted what I had left. Found out that the bullets can turn in the case when count was finished my fingers had gun powder onem. Think that was part of the problem at the range wont buy them again not even if theyre a penny a each.
