This replacement part is a factory original from Remington. Factory replacement parts are manufactured to the exact same specifications and tolerances and use the same manufacturing materials as the original parts which guarantees excellent fit and reliable operation.
This spring retainer is a friction fit that is very tight and requires a good amount of pressure to be installed. This particular part will not work on current 870s with dimples. It is better for older guns without dimples or guns with magazine extensions.
