Product Description

Savage Arms™ has made its Law Enforcement Series even more versatile by adding a 10-round detachable box magazine to its 10 FCP-SR rifle, which is chambered in 308 Win. and features a threaded muzzle compatible with most suppressors. The platform is built around Savage’s classic, duty-proven 110 action, and uses a floating bolt head, zero-tolerance headspacing and precision button rifling to provide outstanding accuracy and consistency. (5 out of 5) Savage 110

This rifle is the most accurate rifle I have ever owned, I would buy 2 more if they had them in stock

(5 out of 5) Great Gun!
by from Deshler, OH on

Nice gun. Very front heavy so I put some weight in the stock to balance it out. I reload a lot and noticed it likes lighter 110 vmax 125 speer , faster moving bullets. I shoot medium weight fine and haven't tested heavy bullets much yet.

I am pleased much by this rifle and its features. Acu stock and trigger alike! It's needed very solid on the action and free floating barrel. I haven't yet adjusted the trigger as it's already light after taking up the middle part of the trigger. It breaks very clean and seems little to no take up. It's a little odd to get used to the trigger. I've only shot it a few amount of times so far and still breaking the barrel in. The magazine goes in very tight and if I'm not paying attention, I had to reset it. When in, it's very solid. I put a Primary Arms 4-16 power scope on this. I haven't yet had the opportunity to really give it a good try in combination of the pair. The barrel is 24 inches and is nicely fluted. It's a fairly heavy set-up but for me would be alright to carry to a stand. It's very front heavy and I think would be great for bench or other solid rest use. I'm going to use it in the field for meat and also for plinking and target shooting. I am expecting fairly accurate hits with this. If possible, after the barrel is broken in, I will repost with that part of the review. Bad note...good luck with the rebate end of this. Still a great deal with SOS! I Will purchase from this company again! Fast and great service Thank you SOSS

First time to order online firearm purchase. Was so easy I could not believe it. Found the gun I wanted, found a dealer close by, ordered gun, came right away. All went smooth. Great dealing with Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore. Will buy again soon. The gun is great. Mounted a vortex scope and sighted it in. Runs good. Could not be happier. Savage makes a first rate firearm. Buy with confidence, both in the store and the gun. Thanks.

(5 out of 5) Savage Review
by from Knoxville, TN on

I had seen this rifle for more at a local shop, but hadn't done any research on Savage or their products. During my research on this rifle, I discovered this website. I also discovered that in many ways, the FCP-SR was a better choice than the Remington I had considered. The fact that the FCP had a heavy tapered barrel, was compensator ready, and had a 10 round detachable magazine sealed the deal. At 8 1/2 pounds, it's not one most people want to carry all day hunting, but if you're in a tree stand it's not a deal breaker. I also can use this rifle for 600 and even 1000 yard, my maximum distance, and it's effective maximum, as well target shooting. I've only got 80 rounds through it to date, but I feel it's more accurate than I am. At 100 yards with match grade ammunition, my best group has been a cloverleaf with five shots. The only concern I have about the rifle is the magazine. While Savage says it holds 10, and it does, the tenth round seems to be almost too much and causes just that tenth round to have a tendency to nose dive. At nine rounds, it's best to have the bolt open when you insert the magazine. This makes inserting it much easier, and gives consistent performance down range. The action is smooth enough, but not the best I've felt, but I'm a big fan of the trigger. I'm well pleased with my purchase and with the folks here at SOS. During the purchase process I contacted them twice, and always felt we were working together. I was impressed enough with the service here that I've purchased another firearm through them. I'll review that purchase as soon as I have run a few rounds through it.

(5 out of 5) Great accurate gun
by from Sanford, FL on

This gun is great right out of the box. I took it to the range and shot .5 MOA using Federal Gold Medal. The magazine is a little hard to work sometimes, but not nearly as bad as some say. Overall, it's a great precision gun for a really good price.
