Standardized M4/AR components are utilized throughout, so the AR-556 can be customized easily.
Great gun for the price. Color is slightly off from magpul FDE tho, still looks good with the magpul handguard though. 200-300 rounds through and no malfunctions.
Couldn't be any happier! I'm loving it, really satisfied with it's smooth transaction. Looking forward to future business.
Ordered the gun the day before Christmas, even with the holiday got it the day after Christmas! Great packaging, factory boxes came in mint condition. Will definitely be buying more guns from these people in the future.
The grip feels amazing, 250+ rounds so far and no problems. Very nice for my first rifle.
Great looking AR, 500+ rounds no problems.
I have 5 AR-15s. This Ruger was not expensive and shoots right on, at 100 yards. I have 900 rounds through it and it fires and ejects all loads. Hp, Flat nose, round nose all fire and eject. I gave it to my son who really liked the Desert Tan color. I would suggest this rifle to anyone who wants a well built, reliable , accurate , Ar-15. Bob
Title says it all!
This was my first AR, and for $550 I got performance that you'd ordinarily have to pay $1000 for. The heavier cold hammer-forged barrel really helps shoot-ability, you can notice in in the accuracy and recoil control. Reliability has also been phenomenal; I've put ˜800 rounds through the gun without a single malfunction. The Barrett Cerakote is really just icing on the cake- it's a great looking gun, and people notice it at the range.
Pretty much the only downside this gun if it has one would be the trigger. Being mil-spec, it's a pretty heavy one. Reset and break are good, and it did seem to lighten up some after putting rounds through. It's just much heavier than ideal. I ended up replacing it with the Elite 452 MSR trigger, and this was a noticeable improvement. Hopefully Ruger makes the MSR trigger standard on all their ARs going forward.
Excellent product for the price, would definitely recommend to anyone..
I purchased this model at a very good price in comparison to other vendors at the time. Had a bit of trouble sighting in at first, was way off target 4-5. Once properly sighted in at 2 inch square target at 25 yards, all bullets hit within 1 to 1.5 spread with 55 grain FMJ American Eagle ammo. Love this gun.
For the the price I got it when it was on sale I consider that a steal lol. Rifle is firm and sturdy with no vibration during fire. I added a different M-LOK hand guard with angle grip and scope. Did excellent at 100 yards. Wish I could post a picture. Friends of mine love it.. Also looks beautiful when I have it standing behind the lamp in the bedroom. Definitely recommend it!
